WPGM Previews: Noel Gallagher 2015 World Tour – Witness A Rock Legend In Action

Noel Gallagher
There is no doubt that Noel Gallagher is a rock icon and an important artist in modern day music. He was of course a huge part of the Britpop movement in the 1990’s, serving as songwriter, lead guitarist and co-vocalist for seminal rock act Oasis. The legacy of Oasis is well documented and they remain hugely popular today despite breaking up in 2009.

The impact Oasis had on music can still be felt, as they have certainly inspired an enormous amount of rock and indie acts over the years. Oasis are famous for records such as Definitely Maybe, (What’s the Story) Morning Glory?, Standing On The Shoulders Of Giants and Be Here Now, with a few of their most famous songs including “Supersonic”, “Wonderwall”, “Don’t Look Back in Anger”, “Champagne Supernova” and “Go Let It Out”.

Noel fell out with Oasis and his brother Liam very publically, and from there, he has gone on to pursue his next adventure – Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds. This has been a great success for Noel, with the music being well received by both fans and critics alike. The band had a gigantic fan base from the get go, thanks to the legacy of Oasis, but in addition to these fans, Noel has also won over a whole new generation of rock enthusiasts. The self-titled debut record was released in 2011, reaching number 1 in the UK charts and performing well around the world.

This album from Noel Gallagher contains popular hits such as “The Death of You and Me”, “AKA… What a Life!” and “Everybody’s On The Run”. Noel has since followed this up with their sophomore effort, Chasing Yesterday, which was released last week, on the 27th of February 2015. In support of this highly anticipated album, Noel Gallagher and the High Flying Birds have just embarked on a worldwide tour, with plenty of dates set for the top venues around the UK.

Fans should look to get their Noel Gallagher tickets sooner rather than later, as due to this band’s enormous fan base, it means that tickets are likely to sell fast. It is a show that you will certainly not want to miss, as Noel is an important part of Britain’s rock scene and his work with both Oasis and now the High Flying Birds perfectly demonstrates his exceptional song writing ability. He also knows how to put on a fantastic live show which can be enjoyed by all, and he is a great artist to say that you have seen live.

Many artists struggle to find success after starting a new band, but Noel Gallagher is not most artists, and his reputation has been boosted through the success of the High Flying Birds. Gallagher has brought us all kinds of terrific rock music over the years and he embodies everything great about the genre. It is always a tragedy to see such a popular and talented band break up, but fortunately something good has come out of the Oasis split. Noel Gallagher’s album with High Flying Birds Chasing Yesterday is out now, purchase it here.
