Following the success of Fetty Wap’s “Trap Queen” and the release of its latest remix featuring Quavo, Gucci Mane and Azealia Banks, it was only a matter of time before Drake would step in and put his OVO stamp on some of Fetty Wap’s music. The remixed version of “My Way” was officially released a few hours ago. The track is the perfect follow up from “Trap Queen”, and with Drake on the remix, it is hard to see the current buzz surrounding the New Jersey rapper ending any time soon. “My Way” has already been deemed the ultimate jam for the summer, making this remix the perfect way to get you amped up for the following months to come! Have a listen to the remix of “My Way” below.
Phizzle – “Biggest”:
After a break from the music scene, Nigerian rapper Phizzle is back with a new single titled “Biggest”, and its accompanying video. Produced by JRS, Phizzle presents this inspiring track about self-confidence and self-awareness which was inspired from an excerpt of Kanye West’s interview on BBC Radio 1 last year. Directed by Lucas Reid and shot in Ibadan, Nigeria, Phizzle uses a simple and abstract interpretation of self-confidence to visualize his single. “Biggest” is the first track off the rapper’s upcoming project titled Egypt, which he promises to be insightful, entertaining and creative. Expect a lot from Phizzle within the forthcoming months. Watch and enjoy “Biggest” down below…
A$AP Rocky + Rod Stewart + Miguel + Mark Ronson – “Everyday”:
This is one of those unlikely collaborations but it has most definitely worked. Yesterday evening during a Red Bull Music Lecture appearance, A$AP Rocky debuted his new single “Everyday” featuring Rod Stewart and Miguel backed by Mark Ronson on production. The track is taken from A$AP’s highly anticipated album At.Long.Last.A$AP which will be dropping on June 2, the New York rapper has said that the album will be much more experimental than his previous work, which “Everyday” is testament to. The track nicely samples Rod Stewart’s “In A Broken Dream” and it is pretty dope. Have a listen below.

London-based 4 piece Indie band Kid Wave, has just released another track “Best Friend” which features on their upcoming album Wonderlust due to be released on June 1 via Heavenly Recordings. “Best Friend” is the latest taster of the album, which they have been gradually releasing tracks from for about a year, and follows the title-track “Wonderlust” released just under two months ago. The video was shot in New York and shows the Taylor Gang head honcho hanging out with his crew and catching up with his fans on the street. The new track and the visuals fit very well together and Wiz has again shown off his talent. Watch the video for “No Permission” here.
Krept & Konan + Jeremih – “Freak Of The Week”:
The Young Kingz might be on the long way home but they aren’t slowing down for much. Krept & Konan have just dropped their summer smash for the gyaldem titled “Freak Of The Week” featuring US R&B star Jeremih, and on the same day signed their first major publishing deal with Sony.
Set to land on June 28 (one week prior to the release of the duo’s debut album), “Freak Of The Week” produced by DJ Mustard and ADP hears the Play Dirty duo move to something more dancehall/US-themed – a departure from their earlier efforts, yet a strong piece that’s likely to further expand on the buzz of their full record. After announcing it would be the first official single from The Long Way Home last week, “Freak Of The Week” premiered earlier last night with Mistajam on BBC 1Xtra and now we finally get to see the visual featuring Jeremih. Check out the video below.
With the news of the Play Dirty duo’s major publishing deal with Sony earlier this week, their first album due to drop in almost exactly two months, a UK tour on the way and possibly a free EP of unreleased tracks (if Krept’s tweets are anything to go by), along with a couple of other videos including one featuring Bikelife TV UK… these two really aren’t playing right now. It’s looking set to be a very exciting year for the boys from the 7. Pre-order “Freak Of The Week” on iTunes here, and pre-order Krept And Konan’s forthcoming debut album here.
Omarion + Dej Loaf + Ty Dolla $ign + Trey Songz + Rick Ross – “Post To Be (Remix)”:
This remix might be one of the hottest ones this month. As the original track by Omarion only featured Chris Brown and Jhene Aiko, the R&B artist now replaced them by inviting Dej Loaf, Ty Dolla $ign, Trey Songz and rapper Rick Ross to hop on the remix of it. While every one of them gets to sing their own catchy verse, Trey Songz even refers to Jhene Aiko’s “eat the booty like groceries” quote, which has been infamous all around social media. Listen to it here.
Justine Skye – “Bandit”:
After the huge success of her song “Collide” featuring rapper Tyga, it didn’t get quiet around Justine Skye. By already having announced that the video to her new single “Bandit” is going to be a great, if not her best, one, she has just released it for her fans, and it is indeed, a very eye-catching video. Clearly being happy about the reaction of her fans, Justine Skye has just tweeted, “guys idk why I’m crying right now… I’m just really happy. this shit is not easy but you guys give me the strength to keep going thank you“. Due to her voice and her looks, Skye is even said to be the next Rihanna. Watch the video here.
