Lethal Bizzle + Stormzy – “Dude”:

So my pick of the week this week comes from no other than Mr Dench, Lethal Bizzle! Mr ‘Leave It Yeah’ is back with another big anthem this time going back to back with Stormzy as the WickedSkengMan brings his energy and fire to this great collab! The huge track entitled “Dude”, produced by Diztortion, was first previewed in Leeds this past weekend at BBC 1 Xtra Live as Mr Bizzle gave a taster to his fans of whats to come and now the video is here!

Occupied by Stormzy, whose verse touches on the journey from supporting Bizzle’s tour last year to selling out his own this year. The impressive Matt Walker-directed visuals feature a flamethrower and some a bunch of cameo appearances at the end from the likes of Chip, D Double E, Kano and more! Watch the video below this one is sure to go off!

C4 + JME – “Go Back”:

Oorite!! Seriousss! It seems the pair are back for another classic as this time C4 Birmingham’s representative teams up yet again with North London’s JME over the microphone for the visuals of their new track entitled “Go Back”. C4 is releasing an EP this week and if its name C4RAGE wasn’t a big enough statement of how it will sound, then how about checking out the lead single?

Premiered by Radio 1 on Friday night, “Go Back” is produced by the UKG don that is DJ Q with JME dropping a hot verse. The video, first shown on Channel AKA, gives an effect of going back in time with a number of clips of C4’s previous videos, as he revisits the past and the school where he shot the “Detention” video from way back in the day, with also flashbacks of the previous hit “Crazy Song” as JME makes a cameo. Nice vibes on this one, and certainly reminiscent of C4’s past career. C4RAGE EP was released on Friday, October 23. Click here for iTunes, and watch the video to “Go Back” below.

PROM – “I’ll Teach You”:

PROM
Describing their music as “Industrial Surf” on Facebook (though I would go for “grunge” with this song), PROM’s unconventional sound aligns well with their new video for “I’ll Teach You”. The piece falls into the category of that-which-can’t-accurately-be-described-so-just-watch-for-yourself, though vocalist Angela Won-Yin Mak describes it as “a video stuck between reality and the fantasy of escaping the male gaze”. All of the images, like the lead guitar, are distorted and feature Mak and a mannequin. Watch the video for yourself below.

Will Young – “Brave Man”:

Brave Man
What does it mean to be a brave man? There are many answers to this question, but Will Young‘s new video for “Brave Man” challenges society’s expectations of what it means to be one. The video follows a transgender man walking in public naked as people laugh, stare, even physically abuse him. What’s significant is that he simply carries on walking, refusing to back down or cover up.

“In this video we see a man determined to be himself in the face of all adversity from inside and outside,” Young stated in a Facebook post. “It isn’t brave but, my god, it shows true grit and strength”. As a gay man, Young also faces prejudice and whilst it isn’t for the same reason, the result is similar. “Brave Man” is the opening track from 85% Proof which can be purchased here. Watch the music video below.

DJ Spinall + Yemi Alade – “Pepper Dem”:

DJ-Spinall
DJ Spinall has released a new single titled “Pepper Dem” in the build up to the release of his first official album, My Story. Taken of his forthcoming album, “Pepper Dem” was produced by E-Kelly and features energetic singer Yemi Alade who does a good job of adding her own flavour and style to the song, making it a club banger that would definitely have you moving and shaking.

My Story is a 15 track album set to be released on the October 29 and will feature hit songs such as; “Gba Gbe E” featuring Burna Boy, “Oluwa” featuring M.I and Byno plus many more DJ Spinall fan favourites. In the meantime listen and enjoy, “Pepper Dem” here.

Justin Bieber – “Sorry”:

Justin Bieber
After all of the teasing on social media, including the 13-second acoustic clip of Justin Bieber singing “Sorry”, the song is finally available! Plus, it comes with a clip of several dancers in loud colours shaking their stuff whilst the track plays. The song is an apology for something that went wrong in a relationship and the lyrics are pretty easy to grasp: he’s sorry. Really sorry.

Once again, as with “Where Are Ü Now”, Skrillex collaborated with Bieber to create this tune. “Sorry” is taken from upcoming album Purpose which can be pre-ordered here and will be out on November 13. Watch the dance video for “Sorry” below.

Adele – “Hello”:

It’s here! Adele has released the video for her new single “Hello” and it is wonderful. It’s been 3 years since Adele’s last single and she apologised for the delay in an open letter earlier this week and stated that “life happened“. But all is forgiven though as her new song is beautiful and very emotional. The video is in black and white which gives it an extra edge and Adele’s acting skills are spot on through out.

The only issue I have with the video is that there’s a man that speaks in the background every now and again that’s kind of off putting, especially since you can’t hear what he’s saying, but you still strain to see if you can hear him and it pulls you away from Adele singing. That said it is a powerful song and I’d be shocked if it didn’t do well in the charts. Adele is officially back! Watch the video below.

Faith No More – “Sunny Side Up”:

Sunny Side Up
Anyone watching Faith No More‘s latest music video for “Sunny Side Up” may – just may – have been under the impression that the band were pensioners with an incredible amount of energy. Unfortunately (because, let’s face it, that would have been awesome) this is not the case. The video, directed by Joe Lynch, begins in black and white and aged versions of Faith No More entertain what looks to be a retirement home.

It doesn’t take long for the residents to let loose and act like fans at a rock concert, especially when the nurse spikes their sugar cubes with a strange purple liquid that slowly brings colour to the video, and their lives! Entertaining, funny, exciting…what more can I say? Purchase Faith No More’s recent comeback album – Sol Invictushere and watch the video below.
