Samm Henshaw – “Broke”
It’s a return to form for London Soul singer Samm Henshaw as he follows up his amazing single “How Does It Feel” with another rousing, upbeat number “Broke“, coming in with an ingenious lyric video.
The new track is a playful plea for one more chance at redemption with the woman of his desires, scuffed to velvety imperfection by a crackling drum track and vintage, amped-up horn bursts. Henshaw’s iconic husky vocals and dreamy harmonies find their way interweaving with the infectious groove so effortlessly put together by Josh Grant and Levi Lennox.
As mentioned, “Broke” is accompanied by a clever lyric video set in Samm’s room. Here, he embodies the character of a vagrant, confined his pigsty of a room in a modern tale of misfortune. With no job and no girl, yet he somehow finds a way to keep himself amused throughout the entirety of the video.
Though he’s keeping most of the details about his album under wraps, it’s abundantly clear that after spending the last two years working and touring with the likes of Pharrell, Rag’n’Bone Man and Maverick Sabre, Mr. Henshaw is cooking up something major for his full-length debut.
Yashua – “Pena”
It is totally worth discovering Yashua, the 19-year-old Dominican-American singer, songwriter, and dancer. He made his entrance in the international music scene less than four months ago with “Silencio“, and it immediately reached several key playlists and new artist charts.
And now he has just dropped a new awaited single, which again is a relaxing and pleasant track, never banal and with that kind of Latin rhythm that characterizes this very very young but promising artist.
“Pena” is characterized by a delicate and elegant flow, sweet smooth vocals and romantic lyrics; if you add that has been co-written with Marc Anthony, you might understand how actually promising this American born singer is.
In a world where today Latin music is equal to reggaeton or trap, is unexpected but so good that an emerging musician succeeds in entering the scene with more traditional beats, on the same time pioneering a new bilingual and multicultural genre, due also to his mixed origins.
A total dance music clip comes with the single, and definitely shows the talent even in choreography owned by Yashua, who first gained the attention of music executives on a reality competition, then signing with Marc Anthony’s Magnus Music in partnership with Pulse Music Group.

Raleigh Ritchie – “Time In A Tree”
A man of many talents but finding worldwide fame as an actor, Raleigh Ritchie never disappoints in whatever vein he decides to express himself in. And as we await for Ritchie to return to our screens again as Grey Worm in Game Of Thrones, we can enjoy some new music instead.
Raleigh Ritchie’s latest release “Time In A Tree” is a truly soulful effort from the crooner who displays an unwavering level of maturity. “Time In A Tree” serves as a metaphor for seeking out a sense of escapism; a little bit of peace from the noise around you and in your mind.
Encapsulated by a beautifully orchestrated string selection, it is a holistically soothing track which also happens to marry Ritchie’s rap and vocal tendencies.
In Raleigh’s words, “Time In A Tree” is “…about needing validation and confirmation that you’re loved and supported when you’re struggling. It’s about needing time in a tree, like a kid – off the ground and halfway in the sky.”
With a sophmore, follow up album to You’re A Man Now, Boy and Season 8 of Game Of Thrones to look forward to, it’s only good times ahead.
Maluma – “Mala Mia”
“This is my life, it’s only mine, don’t live it if it bothers you… I don’t care about what they say.” More or less these are the words of the brand new song by Maluma, who is collecting one success after another with big collaborations and very artistic videos.
Two weeks ago, he appeared in the clip for < "strong>Clandestino”, trapped in a cage, escaping and dancing alongside the sensual Shakira. There is nothing calm about this latest one.
The clip for new track “Mala Mia” starts with the singer half naked, falling asleep in a room full of girls lying everywhere, when a crew of producers suddenly arrives and starts shooting. Then the scene moves to a swimming pool party, where all the girls dance, drink and swim all around the Colombian singer.
The cover of the video was posted ahead the official release of the song, and highlighted some ‘spicy’ comments. It seems like Maluma actually enjoys his time and doesn’t’ care about ll the rumors and criticism.
He has a girlfriend, Cuban-Croatian model Natalia Barulich whom he met during the recording of his music video “Felices Los 4” and is becoming famous worldwide; his hits are big international successes for a still young but promising artist.
Rude Kid + Nahli – “Please Don’t”
One of the most influential, UK homegrown producers of today Rude Kid is quickly becoming an impressive and consistent vibe creator. For those that are already familiar will know his ability to deliver fresh and innovating sounds, keeping him always in high demand and he demonstrates this once again with his new release “Please Don’t” featuring the soulful sounds of Nahli.
Providing a spellbinding fusion of nostalgia as house and garage currents run along together with a shimmering and bliss vocal from Nahli, this latest offering is distinctly Rude Kid and an exemplary offering at that. Piano melodies are sprinkled in to the mix, while soft symbols chime in to the hook to give the record a multitude of layers and depth crafted perfectly together.

RIMON – “Realize”
Eritrean born by way of Amsterdam RIMON seemingly out of nowhere and without any introduction yet is destined for big things. After introducing herself with the neo-soulful “Grace” and following up with the moody “Nighttime“, RIMON releases “Realize” – an ode to summer and the final part of her introductory trilogy of songs.
“Realize” is rhythmic and sensual and is carried by the nuances of new age R&B with subtle guitar licks acting as the icing on the cake. Her vocal performance draws on rap and vocal tendencies in a refreshingly new way and it’s definitely worth soaking in.
