Ladies amp; Gentlemen! Guess who’s BIZACK??? Yeah its ‘We Plug G.O.O.D Music’ and its still ALOT! So Sorry we left you BUT let’s get right back into the music, shall we?br /div style=”text-align: justify;”br /Ok I received this in my inbox 2 weeks ago and BOI I’ve wanted to share it sooo bad from my fa onblur=”try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}” href=”http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_816E7vkb0Ds/ShXOSw8rvtI/AAAAAAAAAEo/eniFAgT7eOs/s1600-h/studio_mic.jpg”img style=”margin: 0pt 0pt 10px 10px; float: right; cursor: pointer; width: 200px; height: 152px;” src=”http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_816E7vkb0Ds/ShXOSw8rvtI/AAAAAAAAAEo/eniFAgT7eOs/s200/studio_mic.jpg” alt=”” id=”BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5338399755089985234″ border=”0″ //airst listen but ALAS… Anyway its been on constant rotation on the ‘We Plug G.O.O.D Music’ radio since then and the more I listen, the more blown-away I am! We gotta shout out ‘this m.et.al chic’ for the hook up cos its ALOT! Right… the artiste is called Symun (as in Simon) and his sound could be described as ‘adult contemporary Ramp;B with a fusion of Neo-Soul amp; Hip-Hop’ (what a mouthful), I’d just call it GOOD MUSIC and according to the man, his songs are predominantly about ‘love’ with influences such as D’Angelo, Maxwell, Eric Bennet amp; Sharrie Williams… let’s just listen please?br /br /img style=”visibility: hidden; width: 0px; height: 0px;” src=”http://counters.gigya.com/wildfire/IMP/CXNID=2000002.0NXC/bT*xJmx*PTEyNDI4NTU1ODk*NDcmcHQ9MTI*Mjg1NTU5MzUyMCZwPTI3MDgxJmQ9bWluaV9tdXNpY19wbGF5ZXJfZmlyc3RfZ2VuJmc9MSZ*PSZvPTBkZWZiMGNmMWNlOTQwNDdhMWQ1ODQ4NDNlYjg1MTRiJm9mPTA=.gif” border=”0″ width=”0″ height=”0″ /embed type=”application/x-shockwave-flash” src=”http://cache.reverbnation.com/widgets/swf/13/widgetPlayerMini.swf?emailPlaylist=playlist_708898amp;backgroundcolor=EEEEEEamp;font_color=000000amp;posted_by=artist_396383amp;shuffle=amp;autoPlay=false” width=”262″ height=”83″/embedbr /a href=”http://www.reverbnation.com/c./a4/13/396383/Artist/396383/Artist/link”img alt=”We%20Plug%20G.O.O.D%20Music” src=”http://cache.reverbnation.com/widgets/content/13/footer.png” border=”0″ width=”262″ height=”12″ //abr /img style=”visibility: hidden; width: 0px; height: 0px;” src=”http://www.reverbnation.com/widgets/trk/13/playlist_708898/artist_396383/t.gif” border=”0″ width=”0″ height=”0″ /a href=”http://www.quantcast.com/p-05—xoNhTXVc” target=”_blank”img src=”http://pixel.quantserve.com/pixel/p-05—xoNhTXVc.gif” style=”display: none;” alt=”Quantcast” border=”0″ width=”1″ height=”1″ //abr /What you just heard is titled ‘Hey Baby’ and if I may be so BOLD as to proclaim it one of the best Ramp;B records I’ve come across all year… and not even that appalling rap verse (ok it’s not entirely bad but it wasn’t necessary in the least bit) could take the shine off the song! amp; the production on this record, courtesy E.Kelly = beautiful although I don’t quite get the pronounced cymbal sounds at about 3.22 minutes??? Now I dunno if you’ll be shocked as I was but this fella is Nigerian amp; Nigerian based!!! I KNOW I KNOW! I wouldn’t have guessed it myself cos to be honest, he sounds WORLDWIDE baby lol! WE WANT SOME MORE! Well I dunno bout you but I know I do…br /br /img style=”visibility: hidden; width: 0px; height: 0px;” src=”http://counters.gigya.com/wildfire/IMP/CXNID=2000002.0NXC/bT*xJmx*PTEyNDI4NTY*Mzk3OTImcHQ9MTI*Mjg1NjQ*MzY3OCZwPTI3MDgxJmQ9bWluaV9tdXNpY19wbGF5ZXJfZmlyc3RfZ2VuJmc9MSZ*PSZvPTBkZWZiMGNmMWNlOTQwNDdhMWQ1ODQ4NDNlYjg1MTRiJm9mPTA=.gif” border=”0″ width=”0″ height=”0″ /embed type=”application/x-shockwave-flash” src=”http://cache.reverbnation.com/widgets/swf/13/widgetPlayerMini.swf?emailPlaylist=playlist_708906amp;backgroundcolor=EEEEEEamp;font_color=000000amp;posted_by=artist_396383amp;shuffle=amp;autoPlay=false” width=”262″ height=”83″/embedbr /a href=”http://www.reverbnation.com/c./a4/13/396383/Artist/396383/Artist/link”img alt=”We%20Plug%20G.O.O.D%20Music” src=”http://cache.reverbnation.com/widgets/content/13/footer.png” border=”0″ width=”262″ height=”12″ //abr /img style=”visibility: hidden; width: 0px; height: 0px;” src=”http://www.reverbnation.com/widgets/trk/13/playlist_708906/artist_396383/t.gif” border=”0″ width=”0″ height=”0″ /a href=”http://www.quantcast.com/p-05—xoNhTXVc” target=”_blank”img src=”http://pixel.quantserve.com/pixel/p-05—xoNhTXVc.gif” style=”display: none;” alt=”Quantcast” border=”0″ width=”1″ height=”1″ //abr /Awwww bless! This one’s one of them sweet boy love songs alie? I love it though! The production is again by E.Kelly and it’s got that smooth amp; sultry feel to it amp; although it kinda starts sappy (as you would a love song), I like how the chorus perks the whole song right up… and the keyboards right after the 3 minute jump? WE LOVE THAT!!! The forthcoming debut album is aptly titled ‘Love, Life amp; Music’ and I dont really have to ask you 2 look out 4 it, do I? The music sorta speaks for itself! I know I’ll be gettin my copy…br /br /You know what? It’s looking more amp; more like I had nothing toa onblur=”try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}” href=”http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_816E7vkb0Ds/ShXJHZ1sRlI/AAAAAAAAAEY/0D0Q-SiLiCQ/s1600-h/liketheletter.jpg”img style=”margin: 0pt 0pt 10px 10px; float: right; cursor: pointer; width: 200px; height: 134px;” src=”http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_816E7vkb0Ds/ShXJHZ1sRlI/AAAAAAAAAEY/0D0Q-SiLiCQ/s200/liketheletter.jpg” alt=”” id=”BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5338394062349944402″ border=”0″ //a do with finding the artistes for this right here cos I was put unto this next feature by my homegirl ‘DT’ a couple months ago. You must have heard of him BUT if you haven’t, get to know now cos he is literally ABOUT to BLOW all over here in London. His name is ‘L’, yes just ‘L’ (as in the sweet-toothed detective in the Anime classic ‘death note’???). He is half-British and half-Nigerian and the moniker ‘L’ apparently could also be said to mean either ‘London’ or ‘Lagos’ but yeah… we dunno what genre we’d call his music. His a style=”font-weight: bold; font-style: italic;” href=”http://www.facebook.com/pages/L/67298718267#”Facebook page /acalls it ‘insane’ while his a style=”font-weight: bold; font-style: italic;” href=”http://www.myspace.com/liketheletter”Myspace/a calls it lyrical, experimental amp; hardcore… it’s definitely different! Why don’t I let you listen and we can come to a conclusion together…br /br /img style=”visibility: hidden; width: 0px; height: 0px;” src=”http://counters.gigya.com/wildfire/IMP/CXNID=2000002.0NXC/bT*xJmx*PTEyNDI4NTk3NzYyNjcmcHQ9MTI*Mjg1OTc3OTgwMSZwPTI3MDgxJmQ9bWluaV9tdXNpY19wbGF5ZXJfZmlyc3RfZ2VuJmc9MSZ*PSZvPTBkZWZiMGNmMWNlOTQwNDdhMWQ1ODQ4NDNlYjg1MTRiJm9mPTA=.gif” border=”0″ width=”0″ height=”0″ /embed type=”application/x-shockwave-flash” src=”http://cache.reverbnation.com/widgets/swf/13/widgetPlayerMini.swf?emailPlaylist=playlist_718299amp;backgroundcolor=EEEEEEamp;font_color=000000amp;posted_by=artist_396383amp;shuffle=amp;autoPlay=false” width=”262″ height=”83″/embedbr /a href=”http://www.reverbnation.com/c./a4/13/396383/Artist/396383/Artist/link”img alt=”We%20Plug%20G.O.O.D%20Music” src=”http://cache.reverbnation.com/widgets/content/13/footer.png” border=”0″ width=”262″ height=”12″ //abr /img style=”visibility: hidden; width: 0px; height: 0px;” src=”http://www.reverbnation.com/widgets/trk/13/playlist_718299/artist_396383/t.gif” border=”0″ width=”0″ height=”0″ /a href=”http://www.quantcast.com/p-05—xoNhTXVc” target=”_blank”img src=”http://pixel.quantserve.com/pixel/p-05—xoNhTXVc.gif” style=”display: none;” alt=”Quantcast” border=”0″ width=”1″ height=”1″ //abr /That very short introduction you’ve just heard is called ‘KING’ and its produced by a style=”font-weight: bold; font-style: italic;” href=”http://www.myspace.com/bibbyjonesbeats”Bibby Jones/a (SO ON POINT!!!). You definitely see what I’m saying when I say it’s hard to place the sound into a particular genre??? If I had to, I’d say it was alternative more than anything… Experimental? Yeah sure we could say that… G.O.O.D Music? Definitely!!! There’s NO question! I’d have wished it was a bit longer but what can I say? We don’t always get what we wish for lol!!! Let’s get back to the music xbr /br /img style=”visibility: hidden; width: 0px; height: 0px;” src=”http://counters.gigya.com/wildfire/IMP/CXNID=2000002.0NXC/bT*xJmx*PTEyNDI4NjA1NzM2NDYmcHQ9MTI*Mjg2MDU3NTk1MyZwPTI3MDgxJmQ9bWluaV9tdXNpY19wbGF5ZXJfZmlyc3RfZ2VuJmc9MSZ*PSZvPTBkZWZiMGNmMWNlOTQwNDdhMWQ1ODQ4NDNlYjg1MTRiJm9mPTA=.gif” border=”0″ width=”0″ height=”0″ /embed type=”application/x-shockwave-flash” src=”http://cache.reverbnation.com/widgets/swf/13/widgetPlayerMini.swf?emailPlaylist=playlist_718297amp;backgroundcolor=EEEEEEamp;font_color=000000amp;posted_by=artist_396383amp;shuffle=amp;autoPlay=false” width=”262″ height=”83″/embedbr /a href=”http://www.reverbnation.com/c./a4/13/396383/Artist/396383/Artist/link”img alt=”We%20Plug%20G.O.O.D%20Music” src=”http://cache.reverbnation.com/widgets/content/13/footer.png” border=”0″ width=”262″ height=”12″ //abr /img style=”visibility: hidden; width: 0px; height: 0px;” src=”http://www.reverbnation.com/widgets/trk/13/playlist_718297/artist_396383/t.gif” border=”0″ width=”0″ height=”0″ /a href=”http://www.quantcast.com/p-05—xoNhTXVc” target=”_blank”img src=”http://pixel.quantserve.com/pixel/p-05—xoNhTXVc.gif” style=”display: none;” alt=”Quantcast” border=”0″ width=”1″ height=”1″ //abr /amp; now that’s the full debut single from the 22 year-old Londoner/Lagosian titled ‘My EX’. I like this song, it’s got everything that a first single should have amp; that bit more! It’s radio-friendly so you can see it gettin love from the mainstreams (which answers to L’s ‘business-man’ side) amp; it’s a really GOOD record (Bibby Jones is on production on this as well) BUT personally, I prefer ‘King’. Look out for the video sometime next month and its being directed by acclaimed UK director, a style=”font-weight: bold; font-style: italic;” href=”http://lukebiggins.co.uk/”Luke Biggins/a, check out some pictures a style=”font-weight: bold; font-style: italic;” href=”http://www.facebook.com/album.php?aid=110599amp;id=67298718267″HERE/a.br /br /NOW if you are a proper 9ja Hip-Hop head or shall I say if you’re a proper Hip-Hop head that’s Nigerian (because there’s a onblur=”try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}” href=”http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_816E7vkb0Ds/ShXLGAcWEPI/AAAAAAAAAEg/HfguVRZUcew/s1600-h/modenine.jpg”img style=”margin: 0pt 0pt 10px 10px; float: right; cursor: pointer; width: 134px; height: 200px;” src=”http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_816E7vkb0Ds/ShXLGAcWEPI/AAAAAAAAAEg/HfguVRZUcew/s200/modenine.jpg” alt=”” id=”BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5338396237376131314″ border=”0″ //anothing like 9ja Hip-Hop in our eyes, Hip-Hop is universal!) then there’s NO introducing this next feature… Its the Lyricist, the Icon, the Veteran! I was on his a style=”font-weight: bold; font-style: italic;” href=”http://www.youtube.com/user/modenine”youtube channel/a a couple weeks ago and there’s this mixtape on there ‘a style=”font-weight: bold; font-style: italic;” href=”http://www.youtube.com/profile_video_blog?user=modenine”Nigel Benn’s Kraftwork: The Soul Edition/a’, a collaborative work with a producer called Kraft amp; it’s ALOT! Musically, it’s just beautiful! Definite BIG-UPS to this ‘Kraft’ brova cos the production on this is NOT 2 be messed with! amp; You know we’re definitely gonna get some tracks from the mixtape to feature for ya BUT we’ve got suthin else to hold you thru till then (so you can’t say we don’t take care of ya)… Enjoy!br /br /img style=”visibility: hidden; width: 0px; height: 0px;” src=”http://counters.gigya.com/wildfire/IMP/CXNID=2000002.0NXC/bT*xJmx*PTEyNDI5MzcyNDQ*MDYmcHQ9MTI*MjkzNzI*NzY*NyZwPTI3MDgxJmQ9bWluaV9tdXNpY19wbGF5ZXJfZmlyc3RfZ2VuJmc9MSZ*PSZvPTBkZWZiMGNmMWNlOTQwNDdhMWQ1ODQ4NDNlYjg1MTRiJm9mPTA=.gif” border=”0″ width=”0″ height=”0″ /embed type=”application/x-shockwave-flash” src=”http://cache.reverbnation.com/widgets/swf/13/widgetPlayerMini.swf?emailPlaylist=playlist_719203amp;backgroundcolor=EEEEEEamp;font_color=000000amp;posted_by=artist_396383amp;shuffle=amp;autoPlay=false” width=”262″ height=”83″/embedbr /a href=”http://www.reverbnation.com/c./a4/13/396383/Artist/396383/Artist/link”img alt=”We%20Plug%20G.O.O.D%20Music” src=”http://cache.reverbnation.com/widgets/content/13/footer.png” border=”0″ width=”262″ height=”12″ //abr /img style=”visibility: hidden; width: 0px; height: 0px;” src=”http://www.reverbnation.com/widgets/trk/13/playlist_719203/artist_396383/t.gif” border=”0″ width=”0″ height=”0″ /a href=”http://www.quantcast.com/p-05—xoNhTXVc” target=”_blank”img src=”http://pixel.quantserve.com/pixel/p-05—xoNhTXVc.gif” style=”display: none;” alt=”Quantcast” border=”0″ width=”1″ height=”1″ //abr /New York Sound meets Lagos Style!!!
