Kinatural – “Temporary”:


Premiered last week on Complex UK, “Temporary” is the debut single from UK-based trio Kinatural, which is made up of Allysa Rochelle on vocals, Jermaine Soul on production and Cedric on drums, hailing from Birmingham, Derby and Italy respectively. Making their debut on Sky TV show Quality Control last year, the trio have since been working on their debut EP Reflections which is due for release at the end of this month. In the meantime, stream the band’s new single “Temporary” below.

Ukenn – “Interestingly Amazing”:


It has really been a long time coming for versatile Nigerian singer and guitarist Ukenn – real name Uche Cosmos. After working under the tutelage of Nigerian heavyweight artistes like 2Face Idibia, Djinee, Onyeka Onwenu, Paul Play, M.I Abaga, Stella Damasus, Wole Oni, and Ego Godbless among others, Ukenn is set take his solo career to the next level, bringing the creativity and versatility of his sound, to the Nigerian music landscape. Starting with this super jam titled “Interestingly Amazing”, produced by fast-rising beatsmith Wilz and mixed by superstar engineer Suka Sounds, check it out below.

Dr. Dre – Compton (Album):


Dr. Dre’s third and final record Compton just been released, following a 3-hour stream of the album late last night. Compton represents the rapper’s first venture into a studio project in 16 years, following 1992’s The Chronic, and 1999’s 2001. Before this release, Dr. Dre had acquired a reputation for teasing and never releasing his long-anticipated third record, which, for the longest time, was to be entitled Detox.

Dre revealed last week that he scrapped Detox because it simply didn’t match the standards he expected of the record. Compton is a record attached and inspired by the upcoming biographical drama Straight Outta Compton, revolving around N.W.A. Compton is available to purchase right now, stream it here.

Wolfie – “Drifting”:


Wolfie has returned a year after her 7DS EP with a series of fresh new tracks for the summer, first with “I be Ghost” and “Come Over” in June and now with “Drifitng”, which is produced by ADP, who co-produced Krept & Konan’s “Freak Of The Week” with DJ Mustard. With recent support from the likes of BBC Radio 1’s Huw Stephens and BBC 1Xtra’s MistaJam and DJ Target, Wolfie seems to be one to watch for the rest of 2015, with her distinctive brand of R&B and singer-songwriter music, influenced by her Romani roots and spiritual idealogies. French Montana + Rick Ross + Lil Wayne – “Lose It”:


Rapper French Montana finally dropped his long awaited track “Gucci Mane”, which is now officially titled “Lose It”, a couple of weeks ago, and now the music video has followed. The video is directed by Spiff Films and shows Montana wearing a straitjacket in a psychiatric clinic while Wayne and Ross are just hanging around in the hallways before all three come together to perform the latter parts of the single. Besides the three rappers, DJ Khaled and Lil Durk make an appearance as well. Watch the video here.

Efya + Sarkodie – “Jorley”:


Multi talented vocalist/songwriter Efya has finally released her hugely anticipated new single titled “Jorley”. Featuring Sarkodie, “Jorley”, which means Lover in the local Ghanaian dialect Ga, was produced by Killbeatz. “Jorley”, which is a mid tempo groovy Afrobeat song rendered in Twi, French, Ga and English is about two lovers expressing their love and affection to each other. With Efya captivating us with her soulful vocals and Sarkodie doing what he does best and delivering his bars, “Jorley” is definitely another hit collaboration from Efya and Sarkodie who always work well together. Rita Ora + Chris Brown – “Body On Me”:


Some time ago, British singer Rita Ora announced that her next single would be titled “Body On Me” and will include a feature from R&B star Chris Brown. Last week, she finally revealed the single’s release date and for the joy of her fans, the ritabots, an audio stream of new track was also released on her Youtube account, soon after her announcement. The track has already been streamed nearly two million times in just four days. Enjoy the collaboration, which Rihanna is allegedly not happy about, below.

Of Montreal – “Last Rites At The Jane Hotel”:


The band Of Montreal have shared a new music video for their single “Last Rites At The Jane Hotel”, taken from the band’s most recent album Aureate Gloom. The video has been created using stop motion animation. In a recent statement about the video, the lead animator Matthew Cooper talked about the creation of the piece: “The tone of the song’s lyrics are quite dark, but the music has this technicolor and upbeat kind of tone to it so I think that’s what I tried to do with the video. There’s a lot of morbid elements. I tried to represent those very vivid, bubblegum sort of colour schemes“.
