Cadell – “UK”:

East London’s Bow E3 representative Cadell is back with a brand new visual for the track entitled “UK“. The hard hitting track which is produced by TDK is taken from Cadell’s highly antipcated forthcoming mixtape, watch out for this one. Following in the footsteps of his iconic big brother Wiley, Cadell has begun to carve himself out a career in the Grime scene. 2013 saw Cadell clash Novelist in the street after their ‘Who’s Da Boss’ event was cancelled, since then the buzz hasn’t stopped growing.

Earlier this year, the East Londoner kick off the hype again by sending for the likes of Maxsta, Stormzy, Chipmunk, Jammer, Elf Kid, Kannan, Stelf and more in the unforgettable “Hotline” war dub. Cadell then hit us with “Hotline 2 (The Voicemail)” which was a War Dub aimed at Mez, Aye Nizzy and Blaydes among others. It’s clear to see that this hungry young MC is not scared to clash or battle anyone, claiming to be the leader of the new school, do we have another young Wiley on our hands? Watch the video for “UK” below.

Lexyflow + Yemi Rush – “Denge Pose”:

Fast rising London-based Nigerian producer and musician Lexyflow is back with his first official single of 2015 titled “Denge Pose”, following the massive success and critical acclaim of his debut single “Gboriwole” which was supported and championed by leading Afrobeats publications and tastemakers.

Produced by Lexyflow himself, featuring leading UK Afrobeats crooner Yemi Rush, and mixed and mastered by O.Y Productions (Olamide, Ice Prince, Iyanya), “Denge Pose” is crafted around trademark African talking drums, with heavy synths, infectious melodies and a heavy bassline complementing the track to great effect.

Working closely with Yemi Rush’s Irawo label, Lexyflow is working on his debut EP titled The Genesis, which will feature “Denge Pose” and previously released “Gboriwole”. Lexyflow has also been producing for the likes of Moelogo and Sona, lining him up to be one of the scene’s best upcoming producers – listen to and enjoy “Denge Pose” below.

emaé – “Know You”:

Following the critical acclaim of her 2014 debut single “Something Beautiful” which was championed by the likes of BBC Introducing, Amazing Radio, VEVO, MTV UK and Soul Bounce among other tastemakers, Scottish born singer-songwriter emaé returns this summer with her brand new single titled “Know You”, taken from her forthcoming debut album.

Praised for her superb vocal performances, songwriting dexterity and excellent folk, soul and pop sensibilities as highlighted on her recent releases, emaé continues to receive worthy comparisons to Corrine Bailey Rae and Emeli Sande. Her new offering “Know You”, however sets emaé apart as she forges her own lane in today’s British music landscape, with her own brand of heartfelt and impassioned songs.

Written and composed by emaé, and co-produced with long time collaborators Hi-Sonorous, “Know You” is a feel-good tune that feels just right for the summer time, backed by infectious guitar arrangements, lush drum patterns and glorious vocal melodies. Lyrically, it takes a more sombre and reflective tone, as emaé opens up to the listener, about her fear of connecting with new people.

Monique Lawrence + Ms Banks + Shystie – “Aeroplanes”:

In a press-release, Baio said “the Names is a record that has reverberated through my mind for much of the last five years… its themes began to take shape when I moved from New York to London”. Check out Baio’s new offering “Endless Rhythm” below.

Aramide – “I Don’t Care”:

Fresh from being nominated for the ‘Female Artist of the Year’ award at this year’s Nigerian Entertainment Awards (NEA Awards), and on the back of the success of her last single “Iwo Nikan”, Nigerian Afro Soul/Jazz singer, songwriter and musician Aramide is proud to debut her brand new offering titled “I Don’t Care”.

Released via Baseline Music and produced by Sizzle Pro, “I Don’t Care” is a Jazz fusion ballad at its core, with excellent piano arrangements, complimented by commanding drum patterns, horn sections and glorious vocal melodies. The record sees Aramide flexing her song-writing dexterity, as she waxes lyrical about losing yourself in your passion.

In Aramide’s own words, “I Don’t Care” is “about being passionate about something or someone so much that you lose yourself in it. That thing might be love, friendship, career, although expressed from the love angle. And people feel you are wasting your time or don’t see any good in what you believe in“.

Teddy Music + Wiley – “What Do You Know”:

Known as one of the pioneers of the grime scene, Teddy Music has received wide recognition for his vicious production and ability to produce grime banger after grime banger. He’s worked with some of biggest names in the scene, but recently, he’s started sharing his lyrical skills with the world. His arrival as a spitter came alongside JME on Wiley’s “From the Outside”, but he’s outdone himself with this latest track, “What Do You Know”.

The track sees Teddy trading bars with the Grime godfather himself, Wiley, with director Morgan Keyz finding a creative way of incorporating the elusive Wiley’s separately-shot verse. Look out for Rude Kid’s cameo as a DJ, too. The beat is off and kicking from the opening seconds, a big synth providing a spine for Teddy and Wiley to dance all over. The chorus brings in some big horns and the titular phrase burning through the back of your ears, Wiley then puts his Eski boy spin on it to finish things off with an equally gritty verse.

This is grime to the core, and is worthy of at least a few reloads! Teddy Music has definitely cemented his claim as a top-tier emcee alongside his respected status as a top boy producer. Watch the video below. Teddy Music has vowed to unleash even more musical havoc on the grime scene with this one!
