AdeJosh – “Karolina”:

Introducing London-based 21-year old Nigerian Afrobeats singer, songwriter, and musician AdeJosh, with the brand new music video for his debut single “Karolina”, which was produced by long-time collaborator ATG Musick, and is due to be released on iTunes on July 25 via Spotlight First Entertainment.

Directed by Danny Wonders for WonderVision on location at the renowned Lost Theatre in London, with dance choreography and art direction from Susan King, the “Karolina” music video sees AdeJosh starring as a talent show contestant trying to get to his “Karolina” amidst a flurry of dancers, while imagining himself performing at a live concert, as the future superstar he is destined to be.

Having been making music from the tender age of 13, honing his craft all through his formative years, first as part of his church choir and then as the lead singer of his renowned secondary school choir, Robert Clack School Choir, AdeJosh is now poised to conquer the Afrobeats scene, both in Africa and worldwide. Enjoy the visuals for his debut single “Karolina” below.

Curren$y – “Smoke Out”:

A short track is better than nothing is what rapper Curren$y must have thought when he made his new track “Smoke Out”, and it happens that it is quite the catchy tune indeed. The new release is off DJ 3rdy Baby’s upcoming mixtape 5AM in Amsterdam, to be available in approximately one week. In addition to that, the New Orleans-native is currently working on a new project called Revolver, together with producer Sledgren. The official release date has not been announced yet but until then Curren$y will surely be dropping new stuff every now and then. Listen to “Smoke Out” here.

J.R. + Trey Songz – “Best Friend”:

A few weeks back, Trey Songz assisted the St. Louis newcomer J.R on the remix to T-Wayne’s “Nasty Freestyle”, and now they reunite for the single “Best Friend”. The Squat Beats x Killer B – produced track is about nothing else but chicks and making love to them and is sure to be a summer staple. J.R will be releasing his project No Filter later this year, on which we will surely hear more songs featuring Trey. Listen to “Best Friend” here.

Kwabs – “Fight For Love”:

Emerging British soul singer Kwabs has just unveiled the music video for his probably funkiest track “Fight For Love”. The visuals show the Ghanaian native silhouetted, while the background constantly changes its colours, while catching him in a spotlight. Even though it is created quite minimalistic, the video portrays the emotions of his single – melancholic and happy at the same time. “Fight For Love” will appear on Kwabs’ debut album Love + War which will be out this September. Watch the video here.

King Los – “Blessings (Freestyle)”:

It has been quite a while since the artist from Baltimore has shared a freestyle with his fans, one year to be exact. But now King Los, whose album God, Money, War was released not too long ago, is back showing off his freestyling talent and had a try over the instrumentals of Big Sean’s hit single “Blessings” featuring Drake and Kanye West. Even though the original is already a great track, Los definitely rocked his own version big time with those catchy rhymes. Listen to it here.

Fetty Wap – “D.A.M (Dats All Me)”:

Fetty Wap cleary stays on his grind and keeps releasing new sing-along bangers. Today he dropped “D.A.M”, short for “Dats All Me’”, which is a much more melodic and softer track than his previous release “I’m Juggin”. By hearing the lyrics, we can definitely tell that the new Hip Hop sensation from New Jersey is praising his girlfriend, whom he is very lucky to have in his life: “You are so damn fine/I’m so damn glad you’re mine”. Listen to “D.A.M (Dats All Me)” here.

Words by Ayo Adepoju, Shakira Knight and Antonia Künzel
