WPGM Reviews: Against The Current Live At Islington Assembly Hall (In Pictures)

On Friday, December 13, 2019, Against The Current played their last show of the decade, in London, to a sold-out audience at Islington Assembly Hall. The North London venue was filled to the rafters for the Poughkeepsie, New York, rockers as they performed the final show of their European Tour.

The high-energy set kicked off with “Voices” from their latest album, Past Lives, and then did not look back. A short stripped back session in which drummer Will Ferri switched to piano, made for a compelling emotional interlude to an otherwise rambunctious set.

It felt like that with each watt of energy the crowd gave Chrissy Costanza, and the band threw a kilowatt back. Photographer Robert Alleyne was there to capture this energy exchange.
