WPGM Reviews: PJ Morton Live At Bush Hall (In Pictures)

On 2nd July, I photographed grammy award winning musician PJ Morton at Bush Hall, London. It was a lovely warm Sunday evening as the crowd queued around the venue.

Bush Hall is a beautiful and intimate space, with a capacity of 400 people. The fans at this particular gig were very lucky to be one of 400, as 1500 people were on the waiting list.

PJ was supported by Bulgarian artist Lina Nikol who brought the vibes with some beautiful songs.

You could feel the buzz amongst the crowd as they waited for PJ to take to the stage. There was a real sense that everyone in the building was one big family: the front row could literally lean on the stage, within touching distance of PJ as he sang.

There were other huge names in the room too, including Jennifer Hudson & rapper Common and there was a real sense of unity between everyone which created a magical atmosphere.

PJ gained a lot of attention when he became a member of Maroon 5 in 2012, but he also has a huge following as a solo artist which was evidenced by watching his adoring fans sing back every word he delivered.

His music is a mix of RnB & gospel sprinkled with pop, which is impossible not to move to. He ended the gig with his version of How Deep is your Love leaving a room full of fans blissfully happy.
