WPGM Reviews: Bicep Live At 3Arena (In Pictures)

On the evening of St. Patrick’s Day, the city of Dublin was alive with the sound of music as electronic duo Bicep took to the stage for a sold-out show at the 3Arena.

The Belfast-born, London-based duo comprised of Andrew Ferguson and Matthew McBriar, are known for their energetic and innovative live shows, and they certainly didn’t disappoint the crowd in Dublin. The opening acts included Saoirse and DEFEKT.

The 3Arena was transformed into a pulsating dance floor as Bicep’s unique blend of house, techno, and electro beats filled the venue. The duo’s live set was an impressive display of their musical talent, with Ferguson and McBriar seamlessly mixing tracks from their two studio albums, as well as a selection of remixes and unreleased material.

The crowd was treated to some of Bicep’s biggest hits, including “Glue,” “Aura,” and “Opal,” which elicited an ecstatic response from the audience. The visuals accompanying the music were equally impressive, with a stunning light show and hypnotic visuals projected onto a large screen behind the duo.

Despite the energetic atmosphere, there were also moments of introspection during the set, with tracks like “Drift” and “Rain” providing a more melancholic and reflective tone. However, these moments of introspection were always followed by a burst of energy, as Bicep once again took the crowd on a journey through their unique musical universe.

The show was a testament to Bicep’s status as one of the most exciting acts in electronic music today, and a highlight of the St. Patrick’s Day celebrations in Dublin. The duo’s ability to seamlessly blend different genres and create a unique sonic experience is a testament to their musical prowess, and their live performances are a must-see for anyone with a love of electronic music.

As the night drew to a close, the crowd left the 3Arena with a sense of euphoria, having experienced a truly unforgettable St. Patrick’s Day celebration. Bicep’s performance was a fitting end to a day of festivities in the Irish capital, and a reminder of the power of music to bring people together and create a shared experience.
