WPGM Reviews: Wet Leg Live At O2 Forum Kentish Town (In Pictures)

On the 23rd of November, I wasn’t in my Chaise Lounge for the mind-blowing sold-out show that Wet Leg performed at the O2 Forum Kentish Town, supported by Lava La Rue and Slant – a London classic.

Highlights included the audience that stood from stage to door, the intense lights and the incredible sets from Lava La Rue and Wet Leg respectfully. Being the first of the two nights the energy was outstanding and set the bar high for their tour.

Lava La Rue made the foundation for people to vibe to with their funkadelic hit after hit performance. The atmosphere was electric with their unique and mesmerising style and makeup, which helped to create a magnetic set.

With Wet Leg headlining, they were prepared to wow and entertain. With a carefully curated set list featuring fan favourites Wet Dream and Supermarket, they casually made the venue rock.

I must give a massive shoutout to the band who looked joyous to be performing on the opening night alongside Rhian and Hester who seemed as down to earth and excited to perform.

They even surprised the crowd with the unreleased track “I Want To Be Abducted (By A UFO)”. Ending the show with an unforgettable crescendo of confetti and lobster costumes overflowing the stage, Wet Leg managed to make acting cool… exciting.

Now I’m sitting in my Chaise Lounge looking back at this memorable show which was unbelievable from start to finish.
